Posthumous Cartoons: 'Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop'

Blue Water Comics is releasing what they refer to as a biographical edition on the life and death of Michael Jackson. The collection is called 'Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop' and it is scheduled to drop in October 2009.

“Michael Jackson’s music served as the soundtrack to countless lives…including mine,” said Bluewater president Darren G. Davis, “His influence on our culture has been profound.”

“This is a celebration of his life and what he meant to a legion of fans,” Davis said. “Although the book won’t shy away from some of his personal troubles, we try to tell a balanced story that shows Jackson as a musical genius, an unparalleled superstar and as a complex person.”
Davis noted that he initially waffled at producing a tribute comic, but after receiving dozens of emails and phone calls he knew it was the proper way to show respect and give fans a lasting remembrance."

M.C. Escher's "Relativity" in Fantastic 3D

Dutch artist M.C. Escher is best known for his "often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. These feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture, and tessellations" to quote Wikipedia. In other words, the dude was a freaking genius. Check out these fabulous 3D color renditions of "Relativity" which happens to be one of Escher's most famous pieces of art.

As for Pop Surrealism, There's 'The Meat Show: Paintings About Children, God And USDA Grade A Beef'

I just came across the fascinating work of American painter Mark Ryden. His "The Meat Show: Paintings about Children, God and USDA Grade A Beef" collection was his debut solo exhibit wayyyy back in 1998. Eat Me Daily notes about this quirky but fascinating collection:

"Commonly associated with the genre of pop surrealism or lowbrow art, this first show combined images of innocent, angelic “creatures” with butcher shop settings and whimsical Alice in Wonderland backdrops. With that, crosses, Abraham Lincoln, literal “devil dogs,” and even, yes, third eyes – all among a dancing fury of porterhouses, bacon slabs and whole sides of beef."

Sexy Commercial for Incontinence Underpanties Makes me Wanna P*e on Myself

Video ads for incontinence knickers usually involve geriatric types looking comfortable and smug about being able to pee on themselves without pissing off someone...no pun intended. This commercial however, has got to be the hippest ad for incontinence underpants that I have ever seen.

And apropos nothing, Google Adsense's stupid and ridiculous filters loved me with a public service ad on this post because of the word "pee". Or was it "underpanties"? Or maybe "incontinence". Anyway, while I love me a PSA, I need to ask the gentle question: What the fuck is wrong with Google?

Erin Andrews Poses for 'Dirty' Photos for GQ Magazine

Remember Erin Andrews? Yes? No? Well, she's an ESPN college football broadcaster who saw herself involved in a recent scandal through no fault of her own.

What happened was that some jerk off filmed Andrews through a peephole walking around nude in her hotel room. The video, off course, made it to the internet and the rest of the national and international media.

Now, Erin has posed for GQ Magazine in a series of 'dirty' photos where the foxy broadcaster is covered in mud from head to toe as she 'hangs out' with a group of college football players.

Give 'Til it Hurts: Saw VI Fashionable and Sexy Syringe-Corseted Blood Drive

Lionsgate and the Red Cross have teamed up once again for an annual blood drive themed on the popular horror movie franchise "Saw". The promo posters featuring the sexy and sadistic Saw nurse sporting a fashionable syringe latex corset for this year's sixth drive came out and they are deliciously declasse and so much fun!

Meanwhile, Saw VI (the movie) will hit theaters on October 23rd. Hum. I recognize a promo ploy when I see it. I most certainly do ya'll!

Check out the promo posters from previous blood drives.
